The location of the cottage was great, with plenty of amenities and activities nearby. The village itself was charming with lots of things to see and do. There were beautiful waterfalls, a scenic railway, and a lovely water mill all within a short distance from the cottage. It was also a great base for exploring the surrounding area, with challenging hikes available for those looking for adventure.
The size of the cottage was a bit disappointing for the price. It was quite small and would not have been suitable for more than a long weekend stay.

The location of this place is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views and easy access to local pubs and walking trails. the cottages are well equipped with everything you need, including a SKY package, DVDs, books, playing cards. the owners have clearly put a lot of effort into making the cottages comfortable and providing useful information.
The lack of a larger sofa in the cottages can make it difficult to fully relax and stretch out, especially for taller individuals.

The cottage had a stunning view and was well-equipped, making our Christmas stay comfortable. The nearby pubs offered delicious food and local ales, and we enjoyed the hum of the river and chirping birds. The cottage was also conveniently located within walking distance of a narrow gauge railway, which was a fun activity to do.
It would have been beneficial to have a stronger internet connection, especially since there were no alternative means of communication. the local shop owner was grumpy and unfriendly, which dampened our experience.

The accommodation had a beautiful and spacious lounge, perfect for spending time together or relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice. The well-equipped kitchen was a great advantage. the location offered lovely walks nearby and there was delicious food at the local pub.
There were a few minor inconveniences during our stay. We also found it challenging to find instructions for operating the DVD player and the supposed Sky box was not visible.

Beautiful location with a shared garden and riverfront, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The cottages were well-equipped with a kitchen stocked with teas, coffees, milk, and biscuits. The bedsheets, towels, and bedding were clean and comfortable. We had a great time exploring the surroundings, including the nearby lake, Scafell Pike, and the beach. The local pubs served delicious food and had friendly staff. The host, Greg, provided excellent communication and guidance, ensuring our travel and entry went smoothly. we had an amazing time and definitely plan on coming back.
Some instructions in the house book were out of date, which caused a minor inconvenience in finding the keys upon arrival. The closest supermarket was a bit far, around 30 minutes away, and the cottage itself felt a bit small, with a table that was in the way.
